~Combining Like Terms and Variables~
When a problem has 2 like variables, such as 5x and 3x in an equation, they can be combined.
Example 1:
2m+9m-2=x OR
11m-2=x
The 9m and 2m are combined because they have the same variable.
Example 2:
11t(2-1)+15t=x
26t(2-1)=x
The 11 and the 15 are combined because they have like variables.
